Cracking Moment

The cracking moment is computed by determining what applied moment will cause the tension to equal the modulus of rupture. The cracking moment checks all locations on the member and properly accounts for lateral strand eccentricity, lateral loading, and asymmetric sections. Although the cracking moment is computed at all locations on the member, the program will use the lowest value since that is the point the member first cracks.
